As I’m sure many of you already know, Pagosa Springs is the most magical place this time of year! The holiday season means there are SO many fun events to provide you with some great memories and experiences! This week we have:

Tuesday 11/29: Live Music at The Springs Resort & Spa-Phoenix Bar hotel atrium. 5-7pm. Sip on a cocktail while enjoying some rock, country, reggae, blues and originals with Terry Rickard.

Tuesday 11/29: Open Mic at The Den. 6-9pm.

Wednesday 11/30: Live Music at The Alley House Grille. 5:30-8:30pm. Local, soulful, smooth jazz saxophonist Bob Hemenger.

Wednesday 11/30: Karaoke Dance Party at The Den. 8pm-12am.

Thursday 12/1: 16th Annual Festival of Trees at the Ross Aragon Community Center! noon-6pm. Vote for your favorite tree while enjoying cookies, hot cocoa and coffee! Meet and take pictures with Santa 3-6pm. snowww

Saturday 12/3: Holiday Market at Pagosa Senior Center Dining Hall. 10am-3pm. Jewelry, art, baked goods, local honey, candles, recycled goods and custom designs. Free hot spiced cider.

Saturday 12/3: Sound Journey at The Edge of Silence. 1pm. 2839 Cornerstone Dr. #5. Experience the healing benefit of harmonic vibrations produced by large gongs, Himalayan singing bowls. theedgeofsilence.org.

Saturday 12/3: An Evening Out Shopping. 4-7pm. Shop small and local while enjoying a ride, discounts and your purchases delivered to your door. Wolf Creek Snow Report

Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had the happiest Thanksgiving! Wolf Creek did in fact get some more snow! It’s currently moderately snowing with more snow showers in the forecast over the next several days! 

Within the last 7 days, the mountain received a total of 6″! 2 of which were the result of the snowfall within the last 24 hours!

The summit snow depth is 29″ and the midway is 27″.

The surface conditions are powder/packed powder/wind packed with excellent early season conditions and unmarked obstacles with 90% of the mountain open.

Today’s Pick of the Hill is Charisma!

Be extra cautious driving up there, as the current road conditions are plowed and sanded with winter driving conditions.

Wolf Creek Snow Report

Happy Monday y’all! Our snowfall in the last 7 days is only 2 inches. But I figured we could take a look at current conditions and see if we have any snow in the forecast!

The snowfall year-to-date is 49″.

Wolf Creek has a summit base of 27″ and a midway base of 25″.

The mountain conditions are packed powder/hard packed/powder with excellent early season conditions and unmarked obstacles.

As before, the mountain is 90% open.

Lift tickets are at regular rates – $85 for adults, $54 for seniors and $42 for children.

The Wolf Creek Lodge will be serving a festive Thanksgiving Day lunch special inclusive of a Cornish game hen, traditional sides and a dessert of your choice Thursday, November 24th.

Wolf Creek    

HOORAY!!! The Wolf Creek 2022-2023 Season has Officially Begun!

Open 7 days a week!

Wolf Creek has received 4” of fresh snow in the last 24 hours, bringing the 7-day total to 20”.

Conditions are powder/packed powder. Expect early season conditions and unmarked obstacles.

90% of the mountain is open with 8 lifts and 1,440 skiable acres.

Pick of The Hill include Tranquility, Nova and Susan’s.

Lift tickets are at Local Appreciation Rates until further notice: $62 for adults, $43 for seniors and $32 for children.

The Meadow Loop and Lake Spur Nordic Trails were groomed today, November 10th.

Beginning about an hour before moonrise, an informative lecture is followed by the music of Charles Martinez’ Native American flute as the full moon rises. The complete package lasts about four hours including check-in, driving to the mesa top, touring the Mesa Village trail, and hiking to the Great House Pueblo. The hike back down the high mesa occurs after dark. Water, flashlights, blanket or mat for ground seating (no chairs) are recommended. not suitable for children under 8. $25.

Check-in time for the Early tour/FM/eclipse on the 15th is 6:00 – 6:15 PM. For just the FM/eclipse the check-in is 6:30 – 7:00 PM.
