Wolf Creek ~Fresh Powder~Slope time

Welcome to Pagosa Springs, CO ! One of our main activities when the snow falls is skiing, snow boarding, and sledding or maybe just building the cutest snowman ever. Wolf Creek is one of the best places to play in the snow.  Wolf Creek was able to open on October 13, 2019 this was the second earliest in Wolf Creek history!

Wolf Creek is excited to announce the opening of the upper mountain this weekend with Treasure Stoke, Bonanza, Elma, Nova, Lynx and the Magic Carpet lifts operating from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.!  The mountain will now be open 7 days a week starting this Saturday, November 23rd!  The ski area will be closed tomorrow, Friday, November 22nd.

  • Wolf Creek will be open 7 days a week for the season beginning Saturday, November 23rd.
  • Wolf Creek will be closed tomorrow, Friday, November 22nd.
  • To celebrate the opening of the upper mountain, Wolf Creek will be offering the Local Appreciation Rate until further notice.  Local appreciation rates are $54 for adults, $36 for seniors and $29 for children.
  • The Ski School will be available for both adults and children, including the Wolf Pup Program.  The Ski Rental and Boarder Dome will also be open, as well as Treasure Sports.
  • The Wolf Creek Lodge will be open this weekend with a full menu as well as the Prospector Grill, the Continental Espresso Bar and Base Camp, Wolf Creek’s Picnic Building.
  • There will be entertainment in the Main Day Lodge this weekend with Christof the One Man Band from Taos.

OUR EPIC SNOW SEASON IS ALMOST OVER

Although we are hoping for a few months of off-season winter sports, Wolf Creek Ski area has scheduled a tentative closing day of April 7, 2019.

Often referred to as Gaper Day, the last day of ski/snowboard season tends to be an afternoon of friends, costumes, tailgating, and more! Gaper Day is essentially the April Fool’s of the mountain– an event you’ll be sorry if you miss! So get your costumes ready and join us for the fun at Wolf Creek!

300 INCHES AND COUNTING!

WolfCreekSki.com has reported 305 inches of snow have fallen on the mountain this season! Currently, the midway base sits at 118 inches of snow. Not only does Wolf Creek Mountain have more snow than any other Colorado resort this year, it is also one of the most reasonably priced resorts in the state. If you haven’t taken advantage of the fresh powder, you’re missing out!

3 DAYS OF WINTER FUN!

WINTERFEST 2019 kicks off Friday, January 25, with the annual Chamber Gala at 6:00pm. This weekend, Winterfest will host Hot Air Balloon Mass Ascensions, Sled Races, Cross Country Ski Clinic, Fat Bike Race, BB Gun Biathlon, the ever popular Penguin Plunge, and much more! Snow in the Forecast for Wolf Creek Ski Area

With 24″ at the base of Wolf Creek Ski Area, both the Ski Area and town of Pagosa Springs are excited for the forecasted snow this weekend! The snow comes just in time for Wolf Creek’s College Day on January 21 and their Locals Appreciation Day on January 24; both days offering discounted lift tickets.

Pagosa Springs’ Upcoming Winterfest

The annual Pagosa Springs Winterfest will return February 2-4, 2018. The Winterfest is a fun-filled family event, including activities such as fat bike races, sled races, a ‘penguin plunge’ and more! The Pagosa Springs Chamber of Commerce encourages locals and visitors to get involved in the daily festival activities.
